Bajaj has been coming with great innovations in the automobile industry. The latest version that Baja has planned to introduce its new pulsar variant 150 cc bike named as Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS at the Auto Expo Event, 2014.

The new Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS will be powered by an excellent performance, 4 valve, SOHC liquid cooled engine with triple spark ignition technology which will offer the displacement very close to 150 cc.

The new model from Bajaj has come to us as a surprise with a lot of new improved features. The Pulsar 150 NS comes with a convenient single seat without split type seat, single piece grab rail, full chain case etc. The bike also features a disc brake at the front and drum brake at the rear which helps to stop the vehicle immediately even in case of emergency braking. Smooth ride on the streets is definitely ensured with such features and adding up to this the Pulsar 150 NS will be available with a smaller tires for minimizing the road grimness while moving at a high level of speed. Bajaj Auto will also offer the bike with rear disc brake which is something new to be seen.
Pulsar 150 NS is fitted with a self start type to make you free from starting trouble.It is also claimed by Baja that DTS-I engine on this bike would ensure better performance in terms of power, torque, speed and acceleration. Apart from braking mechanism, the Pulsar 150 NS handling is also easy and smooth with area mono shock suspension mechanism. There is an extended unit design on mudguard which looks too big and sporty. To enhance the looks, the Pulsar 150 NS will be incorporated with the radiator cowls for cooling fins.

The price of Pulsar 150 NS is expected in the range of Rs.70-75 K which will be quite affordable. The company feels that the new launches of 150-200 cc bike will sustain its number one position very stronger. The bike would be a tough competitor to TVS Apache.

Yamaha YZF-R1S Overview

With the launch of YZF R1 and R1M, Yamaha Motors conveyed that they are not backing down and so launched not one but two worthy contenders to the Kawasaki’s H2 and BMW’s S1000RR. Recently the Japanese manufacturer launched the slightly cheaper version of YZF R1 and named it R1S. The S badge is nowhere to be seen on the new motorcycle because Yamaha has made sure that R1S looked exactly like the R1. Yamaha has introduced the bike globally at almost $1500 lesser price than the R1 which retails at $16490. Cosmetically the R1S looks exactly like the R1 but it differs in terms of mechanicals and components.

Yamaha has replaced some of the exotic metals like titanium and magnesium with some of the less-expensive stuff like aluminium and steel and because of which R1S weighs almost 4kgs more than the R1. Now counting some of the major changes, the company replaced the titanium connecting rods with the steel ones, also the outer parts and fasteners like the oil pan and right-side engine covers from magnesium to aluminium. Apart from this, the new R1S does not comes with quickshifter, which comes as a standard on the R1 and R1M.

R1S utilizes the same power mill (ofcourse), which is a 998cc engine that delivers 194bhp of maximum power and 112Nm of peak torque. Like R1, R1S also shares the same electronic package which includes a six-axis IMU, three different power modes, adjustable traction control, slide control, launch control, and wheelie (lift) control.

Currently R1 retails at INR 22.34 lakhs (Ex-Showroom) and it might end up costing near INR 20 lakhs in the Indian market. The R1S and R1 both competes directly with the Kawasaki Ninja H2 and BMW S100RR.

Kawasaki ZX-6R Overview

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R belongs to the superb mid-capacity superbike segment which is all geared up to enter the vast Indian bike market within 2015. In order to compete with the other global brands, Kawasaki has also decided to bring in its Ninja ZX-6R to India. This category in the Indian premium bike market is really enticing the biking enthusiasts and the manufacturers are also pouring in their products in the segment to cater to this demand. Triumph offers its Street 675 and Daytona 675 in the mid-capacity superbike segment, while Benelli has its 600 cc superbike models; and Honda has its CBR600F. The motorcycle is powered by an inline 636 cc, 4 cylinder liquid cooled engine which has the capability of with its top power of 132 PS at 13,500 rpm and max torque of 72 Nm at 11,500 rpm. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R 636 is expected to be priced between Rs. 12 to 13 lakhs. The high price range is owing to the CBU or completely built unite route via which the bike will be imported to India by the company straight from Japan.

Bajaj Pulsar 400CS Overview

First unveiled at the Auto Expo in Delhi in 2014, Bajaj 400 CS, the concept cruiser from Bajaj is touted to be the first cruiser sports from the Pulsar Portfolio. It will be Bajaj’s largest displacement naked bike. With the rising trend of leisure biking in India, it is sure to please the customers as it comes with an affordable price tag. 
Bajaj 400 CS will be based on 200NS silhouette but will be bigger in proportion. The bike has an aggressive front profile with a brand new headlamp. The tank of this beast would be muscular in looks and it will also come with a digital console along with gear shift indicator with white back light.

Bajaj Pulsar 400CS Expected Engine and Power


It would be powered by a 375cc engine that is expected to churn out around 40bhp of power and feature fuel injection technology. The basis architecture of the engine would be shared with the KTM Duke 390. It will come with inverted telescopic chocks up front.The bike is likely to be available in both ABS and non-ABS versions.Bajaj 400 CS is expected to be a big performance machine. The performance is expected to be highly reliable and it will also be easy to run and maintain. It will offer a relaxed driving position due to its conventional single seat , single piece handle bar and easily reachable foot-rests and it will be ideal for touring as well as city usage.

Bajaj Pulsar 400 CS will come at a premium price over the regular Pulsar models. It will be available between the price range of Rs. 1.7 lakh to Rs. 1.9 lakh and thus would be quite affordable.
